A Mini Session is a shorter version of a Portrait Session with a duration of 30 minutes. It is a perfect option for families who aren’t quite ready to commit to a 60 minute session but would like to experience what a shoot would be like.
You would have approximately 40 images in your gallery to choose from instead of 80+ images.

Allow 2 hours for a Newborn Session. They usually require a lot of extra feeding, changing, burping and rocking to sleep.
Once you have booked, you will receive a preparation guide for your session via email. This ensures we’re able to maximise the most time out of the session.
If bad weather is forecast, your session will be rescheduled. As Adelaide weather can be quite predictable a day or two out, I will make a decision the evening before or the morning of the session.

While a Portrait Session provides much more, you will still get variety from a Mini Session. These can include your family all together, children all together, kids individually, and if there is time, children individually with parents.
It can be tricky to give an exact number due to a variety of factors. However, for a Portrait Session or Newborn Session you can expect around 80 images to choose from in your gallery. For a Mini Session, you can expect around 40 images.

I have been photographing couples for over a decade with examples of my work available to look through on my Instagram page.
This will depend on how many children will be attending the session, as well as the location of the session. Photographing pets and children together can require more time so it is best to reach out to me so we can chat about it further.
If you or your little ones are sick, I am more than happy to postpone the session. If possible, please give me 24 hours notice and I will move your booking to the next available date.
Most children warm up to my friendly, warm nature quite quickly. I also ensure my sessions are very ‘low pressure’, meaning most children feel very comfortable.
I love natural, candid posing and capturing each unique personality! The ‘serious face’ photos are often some of the most beautiful.
However, if your child is very withdrawn or has a strong fear of strangers, I would recommend booking a Portrait Session to give us more time to all warm up to each other. Another option is booking back-to-back Mini Sessions.
Whichever session you choose, I will send through a session handbook giving you plenty of tips for approaching the session and making it a success.
